Senior SAP ABAP OO Consultant

Job Description

We are seeking a talented and motivated SAP ABAP OO Developer to join our growing team. As an SAP ABAP OO Developer, you will play a key role in developing and optimizing customized SAP applications that enhance business operations. You will leverage your strong ABAP Object-Oriented programming expertise to deliver scalable, efficient, and high-quality solutions, working closely with cross-functional teams to support and improve our SAP environment. Responsibilities

• ABAP Development: Design, develop, and maintain ABAP Object-Oriented (OO) programs, reports, enhancements, BAPIs, and BADIs to meet business requirements across various SAP modules (e.g., FICO, MM, SD, etc.).
• Collaborative Solutioning: Work closely with functional consultants, project managers, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and transform them into high-performing technical solutions.
• Performance Optimization: Continuously assess and optimize SAP ABAP applications for performance, scalability, and system stability. Resolve issues related to system performance and implement necessary improvements.
• System Integration: Integrate SAP solutions with other internal and external systems to ensure seamless data flow and efficient business processes.
• Testing & Support: Conduct thorough unit and integration testing, ensuring quality and reliability before production deployment. Provide support during UAT and resolve any post-implementation issues.
• Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, implementation guidelines, and user manuals to ensure clarity and knowledge transfer.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with emerging SAP technologies (such as SAP S/4HANA, SAP Fiori, and SAP Gateway) and best practices to ensure your technical skills remain cutting-edge.
• Code Review & Standards: Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and project specifications.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with SAP ABAP, with a strong focus on Object-Oriented programming principles.
• Technical Skills:
  • Strong proficiency in ABAP OO, including designing and implementing classes, methods, and interfaces.
  • Experience with key SAP technologies such as BAPIs, BADIs, user exits, and custom reports.
  • Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve complex issues.
  • Knowledge of SQL, performance tuning, and optimization techniques for SAP applications.
  • Certified Development Associate – ABAP OO: SAP certification in ABAP OO or related SAP technologies is highly desirable.
  • Agile Methodologies: Experience working with Agile methodologies or participating in Agile project environments.
  • SAP Integrations: Knowledge of SAP PI/PO, BADI, ALE/IDoc, and Web Services for SAP integrations.
  • SAP BW/4HANA & Analytics Cloud: Experience with SAP BW/4HANA or SAP Analytics Cloud is a plus.
• SAP Modules: Solid understanding and experience with SAP modules like FICO, MM, SD, or others.
• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
